Modern day living has seen an increase in chronic inflammation which is behind a lot of diseases. Poor diet consisting of processed food and high sugar content is one of the lifestyle problems that is linked to chronic inflammation. Our body systems need a variety of different food groups to function effectively. Our gut has a significant effect on our immune system and therefore inflammation. We need to be feeding our body the right kind of food to boost our immune system and allow our other body systems to function most effectively.

Positive Nutrition is an approach to eating that focus on getting the 'good stuff' into our bodies, rather than worrying too much about excluding or cutting out the so-called 'treats'. It is a shift in thinking from deprivation to abundance that can be incredible liberating, particularly if we have been caught up in a cycle of on-off dieting culture for a long time.

If you have Prediabetes or Diabetes, it would worth considering looking at your diet and stress levels have an effect on inflammation and therefore blood sugar levels. Dr. Urwin is a leading expert on diabetes and is known for pioneering low-carb approach to diabetes.
