Family Liaison Welfare Calls

This past year has been full of unexpected changes which has driven us to become adaptable and find ways to keep our services running.

Over the next 6 weeks we will be running the Family Liaison welfare calls project which will be led by Patient Experience. The team have been assessing different ways to bridge the connection between family members and their loved one whilst they are in hospital. By introducing the welfare calls, it will give families the opportunity to ask any questions which will be passed on to our frontline staff to provide a clinical update.

Whilst our clinical staff are on the wards our friendly volunteers we will be contacting the next of kin to find out how they are doing, and update them on their loved one's progress whilst they focus on recovering from coronavirus.
