What Should I Expect?

image
16th June 2020

In the current climate, things are moving so quickly and information is coming from so many different sources that it is difficult to keep up to date and also to understand what information is correct.

We wanted to give our patients in north east Essex some clarity regarding expectations when it comes to PPE.

We know that a number of our clinicians have been questioned, when a visiting patient home, as to why they are not wearing a face mask.  A face mask is not required unless the person is symptomatic, that is, they are displaying signs of coronavirus which are:

  • A high temperature
  • A new persistent cough
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

In order to protect you and our staff, in advance of a home appointment, you may receive a call to ask you a number of questions to assess your current condition, as well as questions about those co-habiting with you.  It is essential to inform us if anyone in the household is self-isolating.

Thank you so much for your support in these challenging times.  We are doing our best to ensure the safety of our patients and colleagues alike.
