Exercise

In recent years research on Sedentary Behaviour (SB) has increased dramatically and there is growing evidence that a multitude of serious health risks may be connected to "prolonged" and "excessive" sitting. The good news is that to reduce your health risks you only have to make small changes to move more throughout your day.

Get Active

There are little things that we can start doing that could have a positive impact to our physical health:

  • Park further away from the supermarket and walk
  • Do 5 minutes of exercise in the morning
  • Go for a walk during your lunch break
  • Use the stairs rather than the lift
  • Use a standing desk at work
  • Use the toilet facilities furthest away from you
  • Have stand up meetings
  • Stand or walk to take phone calls
