Welcome to Musculoskeletal Service

An evidence-based treatment and advice service for patients with musculoskeletal problems. The interventions aim to be responsive to the needs of the patients and provide a clear, concise, individual education programme based on patient needs.

Typical problems treated include:

  • Frozen shoulder/shoulder injuries/shoulder pain
  • Knee pain/injuries/osteoarthritis
  • Ankle sprain, including achilles tendinopathy
  • Foot pain, including plantar fasciitis
  • Muscle injuries
  • Elbow pain, including tennis and golfer's elbow
  • Greater trochanteric pain syndrome
  • Hand and wrist pains, including trigger finger and De Quervain's tenosynovitis
  • Sports-type injuries and problems that are not responding to RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)
  • As well as more complex sport pain syndromes.
