Welcome to the Community Ultra Sound Scanning Service (USS)

We employ Diagnostic Healthcare to provide a community ultra sound scanning service.

Where is the service provided?

Diagnostic Healthcare provide the service from its clinics in Colchester and Clacton.

Clinics are open 9am–5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank holidays). Some weekend appointments are available.

How to access the service

Your GP will refer you for an ultrasound scan if they feel it will support a diagnosis.

On occasions, your GP may ask for an urgent ultrasound which will be performed within five working days.

Once your referral is received, Diagnostic Healthcare will contact you to confirm an appointment and to inform you of any requirements you will need to follow prior to your scan.

Once the scan is completed, results will be returned to your GP.
